The boy had surprised them. Again. A lot of these people had done that today. They were supposed to bring him in. And now, barely escaping with their lives intact, and such widespread knowledge of what the younger male had done to stop them, there was going to be hell to pay for not bringing him in. He had cost them three entire squads with his pool play! Well, they had his sire; they could always make more. But heads were still going to roll for losing this one. The stupid porter had complained of the boy being too heavy to bring.

Seamus didn't notice the absence of the troopers for some time. His ears were still ringing from the sounds of rock and stone grinding together, beams and parts of buildings being ripped and shorn apart, and the awful, thundering roar of more water washing through the area than he'd ever seen at one time on shore. He didn't notice the winds, he didn't notice the storm. Everything was covered in water. Including him, except that he wasn't wet - and he wasn't drowning.

The boy was slow to get to his feet. He heard the grinding of stone and rock once more and frowned, unsteadily turning on his feet to try and find it. His eyes stared at his surroundings, and the water as it receded, and then he turned again to stare at the spot that Nate had occupied not more than five minutes earlier. He reached his right arm out, absently running his hand through the empty air in that spot. Then, one hand holding onto the side of the squad car, he bent down to scoop up the man's badge from where it had lodged between the vehicle's bumper and the frame. He stared at it for a moment, then tightly wrapped his hand around it and started moving away from the site.

He didn't bother searching for his weapons; he had run out of ammunition anyway, and with the tides and rushing of water, he doubted they would even be in the area. They'd probably been washed out to sea by now, or deposited anywhere between here and the coast. Seamus cast one more dazed, confused look over his shoulder, and then turned away. He could hear the sirens going off again, and he heard the telltale sound of choppers. There was nothing more that he could do out here. Gripping the badge tightly enough in his hand to cut into the palm, he moved to the shadows of the rubble, and headed for the shelter. If he stayed out of the open, he might actually even make it there.

PHEW! *flops*

Okay, this is the most amount of postwork I have EVER done on an image, and I'm not even sure if it looks okay. Usually my postwork is limited to slight color corrections, some sharpening, maybe an image frame and my signature. This one was a lot more intensive. I think I spent several hours working on it in post.

A lot of Ron's water and wind effects here, some Stonemason, JoeQuick, lots of different effect shaders, one of Sickle's lights (further altered by me for the scene), some of the Hybrid Grunge bundle, the Kaylum hair, two genesis 1's... I lost track of everything I used in this. LOL

'Nuff said.

So much going on in this, looks like you've had a great time working on it! Nice to see you pushing outside your usual boundaries with regards to the post work! He definitely appears unstoppable like the narrative states. And I really like how mysterious you shown him, normally we always see them clearly, but in this his face is obscured and he's in the shadows, risky, but worked out flawlessly. Well done! :D
