"Go on, Keller... I got this one." Liang-jin snapped, eyeing Robert critically.

Matthew hesitated, but the Temple guard captain shot him a firm look, and he relented, shaking his head and walking off. They had not been there long; maybe a day or two this time, and Robert had already instigated a fight with several of the village children, gone after a couple of the lower ranking guards, and thi afternoon, he'd taken a shot at his father. Matthew was too experienced for the boy's tactics to put him in any real danger, but if he hadn't been watchful, he would have had a knife in his gut.

The boy just hadn't been adapting very well to life on the outside of one of Konta's cells, and Matthew wasn't sure if he ever really would, but they were trying.

Once Matthew was out of earshot, Liang-jin settled his full attention back on the boy, hands on his hips, and eyes narrowed slightly. "When are you going to learn, boy...?"
