Bridgette remained on the steps for just a moment as Thorn went inside. And started counting. She was just waiting for it, really.

Sure enough, Thorn got about two steps in and up to the main floor, and Bridgette darted in after him to try and grab his arm when she caught just a flash of something out of the corner of her eye. "Look out, there's a--"

She was just a little too late. Abruptly, Thorn was lifted off his feet and went shooting up towards the ceiling, hanging by an ankle.

"What the fu--"

But whatever protest Thorn was about to make died abruptly when he heard Bridgette standing there laughing. Hanging by an ankle upside down, Michael Patrick McGowan just folded his arms over his chest and shot the girl an annoyed little look.

"Told you so..." Bridgette crowed in between snickers. "I told you so..."

The commotion had garnered attention from the kitchen, where there had been the sound of someone working, and Chang came wandering out to her living room, to peer at the scene by the doorway.

Thorn's expression was a mixture of amusement and annoyance. And Bridgette was grinning from ear to ear, laughing. "I told you so..." She repeated again, and glanced over at Chang.

Chang just set her hands on her hips and looked at the hanging Scorpion with a small smirk on her lips. "You know, I'm tempted to let you hang there for a little while..." She chuckled.

The Scorpion just shot her a blue-eyed look of sheer annoyance.

"I learned a trick or two from my John, you know. Next time knock and that won't happen." The old woman just laughed and then crossed to the doorway, pulling a chair out in order to stand on it so she could reach. "I've half a mind to just let you hang there for a while, Sergeant..."

Thorn looked between Bridgette at her laughter, and over at Chang at her snickering... and just groaned...

"Told you so." Bridgette quipped one last time and then started laughing again.
